I actually have a much more complicated(and critical) method of rating the stories here then most media do. For example I'll put down the reason for the rating next to the story. For example one of my stories is rated PG for blood and occasional language. The blood is mostly one of the characters getting beaten and then there is alot of violence. And that's not something I'd want a young child reading. Read on for a complete list of my ratings and why I give them.

E-Absolutely nothing offensive and it would also be entertaining reading for a little kid.

G-Absolutely nothing in here that would be inappropriate for a young audience although it might bore a young child.

PG-Nothing horribly offensive although you may want to think twice before letting an impressionable young child read it.

PG13-I wouldn't let my young child read this. There may be offensive language, extensive violence, or other inappropriate material.

NC14-Taken from TV14 meaning I wouldn't want anyone UNDER the age of fourteen reading this. May contain extensive violent that is not extensive enough to warrant an R rating. Probably contains lime parts or graphic descriptions of violent scenarios.

R-Absolutely no one under the age of 18 should be reading this period. Most likely applies to a very gory story or one that involves adult situations and contains alot of lemon.

Citrus-A story which involves mentions to sexual acts and inappropriate behavior. May contain material which is inappropriate for anyone under the age of 14.

Lime-A story which involves sexual content but doesn't go into detailed descriptions about sexual acts. Probably inappropriate for anyone under 16.

Lemon-A story which involves detailed descriptions of sexual acts and content. Contains material that is inappropriate for anyone under the age of 18.

Yaoi-A story that is based around a homosexual male relationship.

Yuri-A story that is based around a homosexual female relationship.

Alternate Universe(AU)-A story which contains events that do not coincide with official timelines and events(I.E. Heero and Relena fall madly inlove first time they meet, Zechs and Heero hit it off immediately, also see 'humor')

Drama-A story that may cause crying in more sensitive readers or is more serious. Also can be combined with almost any other description to make another story type based on both descriptions(I.E.Drama/Romance, Drama/Action, Drama/AU...)

Romance-A story mostly about a relationship between two characters. May be tagged onto pretty much anyother story description.

Action-A story where the plot is mostly a battle or a warzone or a fight. May be tagged onto one or more description.

Humor-A story with basically no plot except to entertain and cause side splitting laughter.

Childrens-A childrens story. Suitable for all audiences unless otherwise posted.

Song Fic-A story which uses a song for filler. Most authors prefer writing these since they don't require to much explanations since the song does most of the work and they can be relatively short. Pretty much involves a line of action or text and then a line of the song and some more text etc.
